Regloom, Inc. Founded 2023, Wilmington, DE

Built by people who read the Federal Register so you don't have to

Regloom started as the tool our founder needed and could not find: five years tracking regulatory changes at a fintech, a shared spreadsheet, and a Friday morning reading block that kept slipping during exam season. We built what should have existed.

Before Regloom, I led compliance operations at a mid-size fintech. My team was responsible for tracking regulatory changes across twelve agencies: the CFPB, FinCEN, Federal Reserve, OCC, several state banking regulators, and a handful of others that issued guidance relevant to our product lines.

We managed this with a shared Google Sheet, three email subscriptions, and a standing Friday morning meeting where we reviewed whatever had published that week. It worked, until it didn't. The Reg E provisional credit window revision came out on a Thursday. We caught it in the Friday review. It had already been two weeks since one of our control owners needed to know about it.

I spent months looking for a tool that would watch the sources and tell our control owners what changed, specifically. Not a newsletter. Not a weekly summary. A structured notification tied to our specific control identifiers. Nothing existed at the right scope for a fintech our size. Everything was either a massive GRC suite designed for large banks or a simple RSS aggregator that required manual triage.

Regloom is the tool I needed. It watches the sources, extracts the obligation language, matches it to your controls, and delivers a targeted alert to the person who owns that control. It does not replace your compliance team's judgment: it removes the sourcing and routing work so that judgment gets applied where it matters. I started building it in early 2023. The core pipeline shipped in Q4 2024, and we have been improving coverage and mapping accuracy since.

Three values that shape the product

01
Precision over volume
We flag fewer things, more accurately. A control owner who receives two correct alerts per week trusts the feed. A control owner who receives twenty alerts per week stops reading them. We optimize for signal quality, not coverage width.
02
Auditability
Every mapping decision is logged and explainable. If an examiner asks why a control was flagged for review after a particular regulatory change, the answer should be a specific, documented log entry, not an estimate. We build the product so that answer is always available.
03
Built for examiners
Output is formatted for how regulators ask questions. Exam preparation means having a documented trail: which regulation changed, when the team was notified, who reviewed the mapping, when the control was updated. Regloom's audit export is structured to answer exactly those questions.
